Command Biographies
HMH-464 Executive Officer
Major Nicholas E. Pollock

Major Pollock commissioned in December of 2007 after graduating from the University of Northern Colorado. His degree program was Mathematics in Applied Statistics. He reported to The Basic School (TBS), Quantico, Virginia and graduated in November of 2008. Following TBS, he reported to Naval Air Training Command Pensacola, Florida and was designated a Naval Aviator in July of 2010 where he was subsequently assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Training Squadron (HMT) 302, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 29, MCAS New River, North Carolina for training in the CH-53E Super Stallion.

His first fleet assignment was with HMH-366, MAG-29, MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina from January 2011 to January 2015. During this period, he deployed once in support of Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa to Djibouti, twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to Afghanistan and completed the Expeditionary Warfare School distance education program. His billets included Squadron Adjutant, Flight Line OIC, S-4 OIC, and Current Operations Officer.

Major Pollock attended Tactical Air Control Party at Expeditionary Warfare Training Group (EWTG) Pacific in January 2015, and then reported to 1st Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company (ANGLICO), Camp Pendleton, California. He attended Fire Support Coordination Course, Joint Targeting School, Collateral Damage Estimation, and Joint Weaponeering Applications in preparation for his deployment in support of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force Crisis Response Central Command to Kuwait and Jordan. His billets while at 1st ANGLICO included Supporting Arms Liaison Team (SALT) Alpha Air Officer, Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) Instructor, JTAC Evaluator and SALT Bravo Team Leader.

Following 1st ANGLICO, Major Pollock was selected for and reported to 3d Marine Raider Battalion, Stone Bay, North Carolina in March of 2017. Here he served as the Marine Special Operations Company Lima (MSOC L) Air, Fires, and Effects Officer. He attended Intermediate MAGTF Information Operations Practitioners course at EWTG Atlantic, and the Joint Special Operations Command Counter Terrorism Information Operations Course. He deployed to East Africa with MSOC L in support of Special Operations Command Forward East Africa returning October 2018.

In January 2019, Major Pollock reported to MAG-29. He completed his Master’s degree from Marshall University with a concentration in Leadership Studies in August 2019. He served as the Current Operations Officer for the MAG and simultaneously refreshed at HMHT-302.

In December of 2019, Major Pollock reported to HMH-464 as the Department of Safety and Standardization and subsequently the Aircraft Maintenance Officer. He completed the Air Force Command and Staff distance learning program in June 2020 and is currently serving as the CONDOR Executive Officer.

His personal decorations include the Air Medal with Strike/Flight Numeral “1”, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two gold stars, and the Humanitarian Service Medal.
