Sergeant Major Henry enlisted in the Marine Corps on 21 August, 1995 and attended recruit training at MCRD San Diego.
In February of 1996 Private Henry report into 3d Battalion, 3d Marines for duty as an 81mm Mortarman where he served as Ammo Man, Forward Observer, Squad Leader and completed two deployments to Okinawa.
In September of 1999, Sergeant Henry report into Marine Security Guard Battalion and was subsequently assigned to the U.S. Embassies in Quito, Ecuador; Prague, Czech Republic and Guatemala City, Guatemala for duty as a Watch Stander and Assistant Detachment Commander.
In August of 2003 he reported into 3d Battalion, 4th Marines where he served as a Section Leader and Platoon Sergeant and deployed twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
In December of 2005 Staff Sergeant Henry reported into Drill Instructor School, San Diego and was subsequently assigned to Lima Company where he completed 9 cycles as Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor and Chief Drill Instructor.
In November of 2008 Gunnery Sergeant Henry reported into 1st Battalion, 3d Marines for duty as Company Gunnery Sergeant and completed two deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
In April of 2012 First Sergeant Henry reported in as the Inspector-Instructor First Sergeant for Charlie Company, 4th Tank Battalion, Boise, Idaho.
In July of 2015 First Sergeant Henry reported into H&S Co. 8th Engineer Support Battalion.
In December of 2015 Sergeant Major Henry was promoted and reported to his current command with Marine Wing Support Squadron 274.
Sergeant Major Henry has received the Navy Commendation Medal with two gold stars, the Navy Achievement Medal with three gold stars, and the Combat Action Ribbon.
